Alex has 10+ years of experience in higher education. She began her career as an admissions representative, interviewing students, evaluating college applications, leading on-campus events, and traveling to high schools across the Northeast. Though she now works in higher ed marketing, she has continued to help applicants through the college admissions process as an editor for both domestic and international students.
Alex is driven by her love of language and its ability to communicate thought and emotion. She enjoys helping students convey who they are and what they're passionate about through their supplemental and personal essays, helping them add a deeper dimension to their applications. No matter the student or the project, Alex is committed to maintaining the author's voice, going beyond grammatical concerns to help them tell their story in a genuine and compelling way.
With Alex's guidance, students have been accepted to Barnard College, Bowdoin College, Endicott College, Middlebury College, Penn State, Rutgers University, Syracuse University, UNC-Chapel Hill, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, among others. She has also helped several students complete and publish their master's and doctoral dissertations.
Alex was on one episode of Sesame Street, where she played Cuban children's games with Big Bird.
