Tony was born and raised in Franklin, Pennsylvania. He graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Biology. During his time at Carnegie Mellon University he worked in the department of academic development as a peer tutor in physics and chemistry. He also participated in basic science research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Starzl Transplant Institute while an undergraduate. Tony was also a volunteer Emergency Medicine Technician at Carnegie Mellon University.
In medical school he continued to teach and mentor medical students and worked as a student facilitator for the doctoring course at his medical school. While at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania he spent a year between his third and fourth year of medical school pursuing a masters in public health. During medical school he served on the national board of Students for a National Health Program and continues to remain dedicated to advancing health policy. He received a score of 255 on Step 1 and 271 on Step 2 CK and scored in the 90th percentile in all of his shelf exams.
Tony has worked at Medical School Coach for over a year tutoring for Step 1 and Step 2 CK exams. Combined with his undergraduate tutoring experience he has over 7 years of tutoring experience. He is passionate about teaching and coming up with individualized approaches to mastering complex material for all the students he works with.
Tony has recently matched into Emergency Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
