Ari Stone is a current resident in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery who took a non-traditional journey into med school. After earning a B.A. in English/Creative Writing from Loyola University Chicago, he re-discovered his passion for patient care while working nights as an EMT. He completed an independent post-bacc course of study before matriculating to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Coming from a creative background, Ari originally struggled to create study systems that would meet the enormous task of learning medicine. Through trial and error, he refined this skillset: ultimately ranking in the top 5% of his class, scoring 264 on USMLE Step 1, and scoring 277 on USMLE Step 2 CK. Ari is a passionate educator and experienced tutor who has helped prepare countless students to succeed on pre-clinical, Shelf, and USMLE board exams. His teaching style is engaging, down-to-earth, and highly personalized to each learner’s needs. In his free time, Ari enjoys writing, playing guitar, sampling craft breweries, and practicing yoga/meditation.
