Bio: Christopher recently graduated from Emory SOM and now works as a healthcare consultant for Bain & Company. Originally from Newnan, Georgia, he received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Duke University in 2013, majoring in biomedical engineering with a specialization in electrophysiology and neuroscience. While at Duke, he was heavily involved in research, participating in the highly competitive Pratt Fellows program. His work there focused on characterizing blast conditions associated with traumatic brain injury and was presented at multiple conferences.
Following his undergraduate, he worked for St. Jude Medical in the cardiac electrophysiology division for three years prior to medical school. During this time he became cross-trained in both the cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm management divisions, graduating at the top of his class in both. He passed both IBHRE certifications in the 90th percentile to obtain CCDS and CEPS certification. He is currently involved in multiple projects within the neurosurgery department at Emory, with his primary work focusing on laser ablation for subtypes of temporal lobe epilepsy. During his third year of medical school, he received honors in all of his clinical rotations except one (OBGYN!).
Christopher thoroughly enjoys teaching and has tutored a wide variety of subjects over the past twelve years. He is especially passionate about helping medical students succeed on both their shelf exams and boards, so that they may pursue their dream of serving others. In his free time, Christopher enjoys spending time with his daughter and son, participating in athletics, and learning new things. Additionally, he is thoroughly involved in his local community, being passionate about rural healthcare and education.
