Conor was born in Texas and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He later returned to Texas and attended Rice University, graduating cum laude with a degree in neuroscience and classical studies. While in college, he mentored students as a peer academic advisor and academic fellow and served as student director of Camp Kesem Rice, a non-profit serving children affected by a parent’s cancer. After graduating, he worked as a research coordinator at Baylor College of Medicine and conducted qualitative research on the psychosocial impacts of brittle bone disease.
After matriculating to Columbia University’s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons for medical school as part of the Columbia-Bassett program, Conor became involved in medical education and medical humanities endeavors. He was recently selected as a fellow for a national ethics fellowship and spent two weeks in Europe studying medical ethics. Conor received honors in every clinical rotation and, after passing Step 1, scored a 268 on Step 2 CK.
With many years of tutoring in SAT/ACT, science and math courses, and, more recently, clinical skills, Conor is passionate about mentorship and leveraging each student’s individual strengths in pursuit of their dreams.
Currently, Conor is applying to academic internal medicine programs. In his free time, he enjoys cooking (but likes trying new restaurants even more), reading, and hiking.
