Daniel was born in Habana, Cuba, and immigrated with his family to the United States when he was four years old. He then grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia, where he balanced two jobs with school and served as a pre-med peer mentor. After graduating, Daniel spent a year working at a multidisciplinary clinic in Athens, Georgia, assisting with the implementation of a mobile app to remotely monitor patients from rural areas of Georgia with chronic conditions. Afterward, he matriculated into medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine - Georgia.

In medical school, Daniel spent an extra year completing a teaching fellowship, during which time he lectured first and second-year students, engaged in improving the preclinical curriculum, and led hundreds of individual and group tutoring sessions. He also participated in research projects that were awarded multiple grants and funding, podium presentations at national conferences, and first-author publications. He consistently scored in the 90th percentiles on his COMAT exams during clinical years, earning him honors in several rotations, and went on to score a 261 on USMLE Step 2CK and 696 on COMLEX Level 2.

Daniel is passionate about teaching and implementing study strategies that best suit individual learning styles. He believes that every medical student is capable of excelling on standardized exams with the right approach, guidance, and determination.

Currently, Daniel is in his final year of medical school and is applying/interviewing for residency training. In his free time, Daniel enjoys weightlifting, exploring Atlanta, traveling with friends and family, and spending time with his fiancée and cat, Theo.
