Dr. Williams graduated from Swarthmore College with a BA in Biology, heavily involved with tutoring students at the Chester Upward Bound Program. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson Medical College, and a year in Internal Medicine Residency, several years were spent practicing Family Practice, before completing a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Over 20 years were spent in the private practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology, during which time countless hours were spent tutoring and mentoring students for college and graduate school preparation.

Dr. Williams is married to another physician, having met as classmates. Despite being a two-physician marriage, and both encouraging and mentoring others for medical school, three of their four children are practicing attorneys.
