After graduating from NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Weil completed a residency in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Medicine at Stony Brook University Medical Center, where she was the Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Weil is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist with years of experience in both private practice and academic settings, as well as an OB-GYN Hospitalist. Throughout her career, she has been involved in teaching and medical education; served as assistant director of the medical student OB-GYN clerkship; and precepted for OB-GYN and Family Practice residents during their clinical OB rotations.
As a Residency Match committee member and interviewer, Dr. Weil developed an awareness of the way in which applicants are reviewed and received. In both formal and informal advisory roles, she has found great joy in connecting with students and helping them follow their own, unique paths into medicine and then into practice. She is keenly interested in using her clinical acumen and myriad educational experiences to further support the education of the next generation of physician healers.
Dr. Weil completed her undergraduate studies at NYU, majoring in Psychology with a Minor in Russian Language Studies. Prior to beginning her medical education, Dr. Weil spent a year immersed in Irish dance teacher certification and founded a community-based Irish dance school.
OB/GYN
Dr. Weil is a life-long Irish dancer who is a certified Irish Dance Master (teacher) through the Irish Dance Commission in Dublin, Ireland and over the past 20 years, her students have performed in a benefit show to raise money for local charities.
