Emily graduated with a bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied anthropology and Latin American studies. During her time at WashU, she was a counselor for survivors of sexual assault and worked on research in women's health. Prior to starting medical school, she researched maternal healthcare in Colombia as a Fulbright scholar. She then served as an AmeriCorps member at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. Emily is currently a third-year medical student planning to pursue Obstetrics/Gynecology.
As a tutor, Emily works closely with each student to create a personalized, effective plan for success. She emphasizes students’ strengths and fosters enthusiastic engagement with the content material. She is passionate about mentoring each student holistically, emphasizing not only subject knowledge and test-taking strategies but also the importance of mental and physical well-being throughout studying.
