Hersh graduated from Brown University as a Chemistry and Computational Biology major. He currently works at the Dana Farber Cancer and the Broad Institutes on computational genomics research. In college, he served as a TA for five classes and ` volunteer for tutoring low-income high school students, building on private tutoring he did in high school.
Through the skills developed in teaching both introductory and upper-division material, he's able to teach both foundational and more complex concepts to his students with ease.
As a tutor, Hersh utilizes a variety of strategies that focus on building a strong understanding of MCAT key topics and how to apply them. He also strongly supports the use of memes as a teaching mechanism for his students.
