Dr. Wilson grew up in New York and graduated from the University of Rochester with dual degrees in molecular genetics and psychology. After completing a national service year with AmeriCorps VISTA, he enrolled in the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. During his medical training, he pursued a predoctoral research fellowship, funded by the NIH, in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery. Simultaneously, he earned a master’s degree in medical neurobiology and anatomy.
Dr. Wilson is highly skilled at developing personalized learning strategies tailored to each student's strengths and needs. His passion for teaching drives him to use interactive, concept-driven approaches that promote deeper understanding of exam topics, emphasizing comprehension over rote memorization. He is excited to collaborate with students to elevate their learning and help them achieve both personal and professional success.
Currently a resident in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Dr. Wilson remains actively involved in clinical research and medical student education. He aspires to pursue a career in academic medicine. In his free time, he enjoys playing piano, hiking, and spending quality time with his wife, son, friends, and family.
