Kushanth was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Harvard University in three years with advanced standing in molecular and cellular biology. During his time at Harvard, he served in several mentorship programs for underclassmen and worked as a teaching assistant for introductory biology courses. After graduating with his undergraduate degree, he worked as a clinical research associate at the University of Pittsburgh.
Kushanth attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis where he received honors in nearly all of his clinical rotations. He earned a 258 on Step 1 and a 268 on Step 2. As of 2023, he is a transitional year resident at Mount Carmel in Columbus, Ohio, and will be starting radiology residency in 2024 at WashU.
Passionate about mentorship, Kushanth loves helping medical students advance towards their dreams by conquering difficult topics. He engages students by dissecting difficult step questions and teaching question strategy. He is also skilled at generating realistic study plans with just the right number of resources to meet each student's needs. In his free time, he enjoys watching old movies from his DVD collection and spending time with his family.
