Dr. Raz specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, blending his clinical expertise with a commitment to mentoring future healthcare professionals. After earning his bachelor’s degree in pharmacology with a minor in English from Stony Brook University in New York, he completed the pre-clinical curriculum at Dartmouth before receiving his medical doctorate from Brown University through the joint Brown–Dartmouth program. Dr. Raz's medical journey includes significant military service, such as serving in an airborne infantry military unit and participating in a military medical mission during the genocide in Rwanda, where he developed a unique perspective on providing care under challenging conditions.
Dr. Raz’s extensive career also entails work within the Lifespan Health System in Rhode Island and the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. His experience spans clinical practice, academic involvement, and executive roles in healthcare organizations, where he has contributed to the advancement of care through innovative strategies. He currently serves as an advisor to several healthcare companies, focusing on digital innovation and connectivity in patient care. With a long history of volunteering on admissions committees, Dr. Raz is a dedicated mentor, passionate about supporting students and residents as they navigate their own paths in medicine.
