When she is not with patients or mentoring students, you will find Dr. Piccione on a trail with her dog, Rosie (Axl Rose). For Dr. Piccione, hiking, like medicine, can be fulfilling or unexpectedly challenging-sometimes you reach the top for an amazing view, and other times you are pulling cactus spines out of your wild dog's face!
