Matthew is originally from the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in economics and a minor in biology. After college, he stayed in Columbus and worked as a medical assistant at a dermatology clinic before matriculating at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine (RVU) in Colorado. At RVU, Matthew participated in the Digital Health Track, where he explored the intersection of technology and medicine. He contributed to the development of a CME course aimed at educating physicians on integrating digital health into their practice, further strengthening his interest in medical education. He scored in the 250s on Step 2, in the 630s on Level 2, and earned a 740 on COMLEX Level 3.
Matthew completed his transition year at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, New Jersey and matched into the anesthesiology residency program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Currently, he is taking a gap year before starting his anesthesia training. He is excited to use this time to relax, travel, spend time with family and friends, and help others succeed on their board exams.
Outside of medicine, Matthew enjoys spending time with family and friends, skiing in the winter, relaxing at the beach in the summer, and cheering on Ohio State football and all of Philadelphia’s sports teams.
