Rachel was born and raised in Michigan. She attended Dartmouth College and graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and minor in Spanish. While in college, she was a peer tutor in biology and chemistry and led several study groups.
After college, Rachel was a full-time tutor in math, chemistry, biology, and Spanish at Freudigman and Billings. She then matriculated to Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. In medical school, she continued to teach, mentor, and advise undergraduate and medical students. She also served on the Student Governmental Association and was elected a Chancellor's Scholar in Global Health. Rachel scored a 250 on Step 1 and 258 on Step 2 CK and scored above the 90th percentile on all her shelf exams.
Rachel is now a resident at Denver Health Emergency Medicine and continues to have a passion for education and mentorship. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time outdoors, exploring the live music scene, and tending to her apartment patio garden.
