Sherise is the Lead Pre-Med Coach Concierge at MedSchoolCoach. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola College in Maryland (now Loyola University) and her master’s in Child Development from Tufts University. After graduating, she worked for several years as a mental health counselor in hospital and clinical settings in Boston and New York, specializing in adults with a dual diagnosis (MICA: mental illness and chemical addiction).
Realizing her passion for guiding young adults through their academic and career journeys, Sherise transitioned to higher education, specializing in prehealth advising. She has held leadership roles at multiple institutions, including serving as Director of the NYU Postbaccalaureate Prehealth Studies Program and, most recently, as Assistant Director of Prehealth Advising at Princeton University.
With over a decade of experience across four institutions—Princeton University, New York University, Florida International University, and the University of West Georgia—Sherise has supported more than 1,000 students in preparing for medical school applications. She has directly assisted over half of them with their application process, guiding them from the early stages of their undergraduate careers through acceptance into medical school.
Passionate about working with aspiring physicians, Sherise is excited to continue empowering students through her work at MedSchoolCoach.
