Tori was born in Colorado and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in neuroscience and genetics, cell biology, and development. During her undergraduate program, she served as a teaching assistant for three years for neuroanatomy, culminating in her role as the head teaching assistant. Prior to matriculating to medical school, Tori spent a gap year engaged in basic science research on pain mechanisms in sickle cell disease.
Currently, Tori is a student at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, where she continues to contribute to research and education. She helped pilot an ultrasound course for preclinical students and is an active member of the curriculum steering council. She is now completing a research year at the National Institutes of Health through the Medical Research Scholars Program, focusing on oncology research and working towards a master's degree in clinical research. Tori plans to apply for an internal medicine residency and specialize in hematology/oncology. She passed Step 1 and scored a 268 on Step 2 CK.
Tori finds great joy in tutoring and takes pride in supporting students' academic growth and success. Her personalized guidance and compassionate approach help her make a meaningful impact on each student's learning journey.
In her free time, Tori enjoys staying active and unwinding through hiking. Her goal is to visit every national park in the United States. She also loves curling up with her cat, a good book or her many crochet projects.
