    Alyea Pierce, Ed.M is a Caribbean-American writer, performance poet, and educator. She is a two-time alumna of Rutgers University where she received her B.A in Communications and English and her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration.

    Pierce's artistry has been featured on grand stages and universities across the States. She recited her original works at countless TEDx events, including TEDxOxford in the United Kingdom (UK), as well as led international Creative Writing and Performance Master Classes for the Oxford Royale Academy in the UK to The University of Cape Town in South Africa.

    One of the things she loves most about her work is the opportunity to coach and teach youths how to transform their creative ideas into professional voices. To continue that passion, Alyea is an adjunct professor at the University level and volunteers with several youth development organizations.

    FUN FACT

    Alyea Pierce received a Fulbright and National Geographic Fellow, in which she spent a year living in Trinidad and Tobago studying Traditional Masquerade and folklore.
