After completing a joint PhD in Linguistics and Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of Chicago, Andrew pivoted to become a non-traditional, career-changing pre-med through the UC Berkeley Extension Health Professionals Program, with a 523 MCAT score (99th percentile). Since then, Andrew has worked for 6+ years as an MCAT tutor and high-level MCAT course architect and developer, helping to design and write some of the best-selling MCAT courses and materials on the market, both at MedSchoolCoach and other companies. Andrew also keeps up with cutting-edge medical research by working as an English-language editor for several journals, and has a keen eye for connecting basic science concepts with clinical applications.
