Bayan Galal
Master TutorBayan is a medical student at the University of Pennsylvania. She has a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor’s degree from Yale University. She brings several years of teaching experience and offers a rigorous background in research and clinical work.
Bayan Galal is a first-year medical student at the University of Pennsylvania, where she serves as the coordinator for the United Community Clinic and the Penn delegate to the AAMC's Office of Student Representatives. Before medical school, she earned her master’s degree in population health sciences at the University of Cambridge as a Marshall Scholar. She also graduated from Yale College with a bachelor's degree, double majoring in molecular, cellular, developmental biology and global affairs and minoring in global health studies. At Yale, she served as Yale College Council president, and was the first Muslim and first Arab student body president elected in Ivy League’s history.
Bayan has interned for major international organizations, including Save the Children and the International Rescue Committee. Additionally, she has extensive research experience, with her work published in The Lancet, JAMA, BMJ Open, and more. Bayan ultimately hopes to pursue a career in both medicine and global health.
