Changyow (Claire) Kwan MD

Claire Kwan was born in Taiwan, grew up in California and Michigan, and now lives in Chicago. She graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University with double majors in biochemistry and communication sciences and disorders. She also minored in global health and studied in Paris for a semester. During undergrad, she was involved in cultural organizations, research and worked as a teaching assistant.

Claire is currently an ophthalmology resident at the University of California Irvine. She attended Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and was involved in clinical research and medical education. She received a 262 on Step 1 and a 273 on Step 2 CK and scored >90th percentile on almost all shelf exams. She has been involved in tutoring for over 10 years and has held jobs as a tutor, teaching assistant, and MCAT instructor. She is passionate about helping students succeed and hopes to continue being involved in medical education throughout her career.

Outside of work, Claire enjoys traveling, hiking, and trying new restaurants.
