    Dr. Long graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Honors Program, where he received his bachelor's degree in psychobiology. After scoring in the 95th percentile on the MCAT and spending a gap year working in Los Angeles, he matriculated at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), School of Medicine, serving as founder and president of multiple premedical mentorship organizations and successfully guiding dozens of applicants through the medical school admissions process. Since graduating, Dr. Long has entered residency in ophthalmology at the prestigious University of Southern California (USC) Roski Eye Institute. He currently serves as a member of the USC Roski Eye Institute residency admissions committee, one of the most competitive residency programs in the country.

    In his spare time, Dr. Long has continued his work in admissions coaching, working as a medical school admissions expert. As a previous UC MMI interviewer and current residency admissions committee member, he has extensive experience with application review and interview preparation. Mentoring applicants for the past eight admissions cycles, Dr. Long has personally guided nearly 500 medical school applicants through this process and is excited to meet applicants for this year’s admissions cycle.
