    Dr. Kong has been recognized as a 2018 Tylenol Future Care Scholar, 2017 Sophie Davis Scholar, and a 2014 Milken Scholar. Currently, he serves as an emergency medicine resident at Northwell Health, North Shore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center. In this role, he interviews potential applicants and facilitates mock residency interviews for medical students at the Zucker School of Medicine. Before embarking on his residency, Dr. Kong excelled academically, graduating magna cum laude from the Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program. This prestigious program in New York City offers an accelerated seven-year BS/MD curriculum. As a medical student, he participated in the admissions committee, advising applicants and guiding high school students interested in medical careers. Additionally, he leveraged his expertise as a Club-Z! tutor, assisting students with MCAT/SAT preparations and providing guidance to those keen on entering BS/MD programs.

    Beyond the confines of medical institutions, Dr. Kong is associated with the Great Neck Fire Department as a company surgeon. He also champions diversity, equity, and inclusion as an officer in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Passionate about public service and healthcare, he aspires to drive significant change as a physician and leader. Dr. Kong remains committed to guiding upcoming doctors, drawing from his extensive medical educational background. For leisure, he enjoys hiking, playing basketball, and diving into strategic board games.

    Dr. Kong enjoys playing the piano and pipe organ and exploring famous pianos and pipe organs around the world. His next planned trip is to visit the world's largest pipe organ in Atlantic City, New Jersey!
