    Undergraduate: B.S. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

     

    Forrest graduated from UNC Chapel Hill, where he focused on scientific research and peer mentorship. His research topics ranged from treating trauma patients, to investigating how hearts develop. In addition, his time as an academic mentor to students with learning disabilities has given him the firsthand experience needed to prioritize students' wellbeing and unique educational needs. When not teaching or in the lab, Forrest enjoys hiking with his Beagle Lab mix ("Freckles"), writing bad fiction, and cooking reasonably edible food.
