    Undergraduate:

    Virginia Tech
    Medical School:
Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM)

Greg grew up in the suburbs around Washington, D.C. He was a jock in high school but became a science nerd while studying at Virginia Tech. After spending a few years in a research lab studying metabolism in mice, he found that he enjoyed the company of people much more, so he decided to go to medical school.

He caught the teaching ‘bug’ early on, serving as a tutor for many of his friends in college and as a TA in graduate school, and then he did even more tutoring while earning his DO. At the beginning of his third year, Greg started the Med School Phys podcast, which aims to help pre-clinical students gain a richer understanding of physiology and pathophysiology for the boards and wards. At the end of his third year, Greg fell in love with pediatrics and he is planning to practice in a pediatric subspecialty.

When teaching, Greg likes to build from first principles, focus on the essentials, and highlight connections between disciplines. He plans to work with medical students in all phases of his career.

When he’s not teaching, Greg likes to listen to podcasts on long walks, dote on his puppy, and leisurely dine with his wife, Monica. He wishes you the very best in all of your future endeavors!
