Writing AdvisorGyasi has nearly a decade of tutoring and editing experience, involving work on a variety of professional, creative, and academic projects, from marketing materials to poetry chapbooks to student papers.
Gyasi Hall (Jaw-See, They/Them) is from Columbus, Ohio. They majored in creative writing, literature studies, and film studies at Otterbein University where they worked in the writing center offering assistance and feedback to students on papers and applications. After earning their undergraduate degree, Gyasi attended graduate school at the University of Iowa the following fall, where they not only taught for the university, but also led community workshops and other writing classes with local high schools. They got their MFA in creative nonfiction and now work as an educator and freelance editor. Gyasi has also worked as an instructor for summer creative writing programs for high schoolers at places like UIowa and Kenyon College. In their free time, they continue to work on their own writing projects.

Gyasi comes from a family of geeks and hobbyists: they love comic books, sci-fi/fantasy/horror movies, and tabletop role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons.
