Ishu Sivakumar

Ishu graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a minor in Bioethics. She worked on extensive cancer metabolism molecular research projects and sickle cell clinical research projects. Ishu's research experience enables her to help students tackle difficult scientific journal passages on the MCAT and understand techniques. Her interests in Bioethics and the humanities helps her to guide students through reading comprehension and critical thinking. Because her mother works in education, Ishu has helped with teaching, mentoring and lesson-planning for most of her life. By integrating different forms of learning and paying attention to the student's specific needs, Ishu engages her students and boosts their self-confidence for the MCAT.

Ishu studied at the University of Oxford for a year, where she became an avid photographer!
