Jake Jensen

Jake is an undergraduate studying psychology at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is currently conducting research in the area of neuroimaging, seeking to understand neurological diseases such as dementia and schizophrenia.
His interest in mental illness has also led him to work with several mental health organizations aiming to support individuals suffering from mental illness. Additionally, Jake has spent several years tutoring students in everything from behavioral neurobiology to biochemistry.
As an MCAT tutor, Jake seeks to help students realize that with hard work, patience, and the right tools, they can achieve much more than they think they are capable of. Yet, he also understands that anxiety and stress are natural elements of studying for a high-stakes test. Knowing this, Jake is able to empathize with students dealing with worries about the test, getting on their level in order to help them through the process.
With a focus on efficient memorization techniques as well as conceptual understanding, Jake's ready to show students how to effectively approach the MCAT and reach their potential.
In his free time, Jake loves listening to history podcasts, as well as any and all activities in the mountains including snowboarding and hiking!
