Dr. Flynn continued her education at Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she thrived in various extracurricular and leadership roles, including serving as class vice president and being a member of the Committee on Students. Her exceptional contributions earned her the prestigious Sarah E. Stewart Leadership Award and the String of Pearls Acting Intern Award, recognizing her commitment to leadership and service in the medical community.
Dr. Flynn completed her general surgery internship at Columbia University before moving on to an orthopedic surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic, one of the leading healthcare institutions in the country. During her three years on the residency admissions committee, she played a crucial role in the application, interview, and match process, contributing her insights and expertise to help select the next generation of orthopedic surgeons. After completing her residency, Dr. Flynn pursued fellowship-level training in sports orthopedic surgery at the renowned American Sports Medicine Institute, further honing her skills in this specialized field. She now practices sports orthopedic surgery in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where she applies her extensive training and experience to help athletes recover and perform at their best.
