Mia Phillips PhD
Writing AdvisorDr. Phillips has served as a writing instructor for over 10 years, and as a writer and editor for a college president, multiple elected officials and political candidates, and nonprofits. Dr. Phillips attended University of Central Arkansas and University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Dr. Mia Phillips earned her bachelor’s degree in writing from the University of Central Arkansas, a master’s degree in Professional and Technical Writing from UA Little Rock, and a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from UA Little Rock. She is an adjunct professor and teaches classes at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently, she serves on the board for the Vera Lloyd Foundation and previously served as Chair of the Board for the Arkansas Minority Film and Arts Association. Affectionately known as "Dr. P" by her students, Mia serves as a mentor for the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund, as well as an advisor for the UA Little Rock L.O.V.E. Gospel Choir. Dr. Phillips is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is also the Founder and CEO of Stratmin Ministry Consulting and is a certified social media strategist.
Fun Fact
Dr. Phillips loves music and sports. She played the violin and piano, sang in multiple choirs, played basketball and volleyball, and ran track.
