    Dr. Rachel Christensen was born and raised in New Jersey. She graduated with honors from Washington and Lee University with a degree in neuroscience. During college, she participated in basic science research, tutored school-aged children, and served as a teaching assistant for a research statistics course. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant with Brown's Pediatric Mood, Imaging, and Neurodevelopment Program in Providence, Rhode Island where she participated in clinical research investigating the biological and behavioral underpinnings of various pediatric psychiatric illnesses.

    Rachel subsequently completed her medical training at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, during which she spent one year as a predoctoral research fellowship in the department of dermatology at Northwestern University. Rachel scored a 261 on Step 1, a 273 on Step 2 CK, and scored in the 90th percentiles on all her shelf exams. She was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

    Currently, Rachel is completing her preliminary year at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Next year, she will begin her dermatology residency training at the Weill Cornell Medicine Dermatology Residency Program.

    In Rachel's free time, she loves to cook, travel, and hang out with her cat, Fifi!
