Sam Taylor completed his undergraduate degree at Yale University where he studied biochemistry, biomedical engineering, and economics. While at Yale he also tutored fellow students in math and science—a part time job which developed into an enduring passion. After graduating in the top 5% of his class, Sam continued to explore his research interests at the National Cancer Institute where he published several papers examining how immune cells behave in the context of cancer treatment. During this time, he continued to tutor through InstaEDU (later acquired by Chegg) where he excelled in helping students from diverse backgrounds meet their academic goals. Upon leaving the NCI, Sam matriculated to Weill Cornell Medical College in Manhattan where he performed at the top of his class throughout his pre-clinical and clinical years. After completing his last rotation prior to beginning a research year, Sam was invited to tutor other medical students at Weill Cornell—continuing a career in teaching which has lasted over 8 years.
