Sarah Gibson MD
AdvisorDr. Gibson has served on the college of medicine admissions committee as a student at the University of South Alabama and as faculty at the University of Central Florida, where she has worked as an assistant professor. She has also interviewed applicants for a pediatric orthopedic fellowship for many years.
Dr. Gibson graduated from Queen's University in Canada with BSc (Honors) Class I standing in Life Sciences. She was the first Canadian to attend the college of medicine at the University of South Alabama, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and selected as one of four students to serve on the admissions committee. She got her top choice for both a transitional intern year in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina followed by a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) at Harvard-Spaulding. Dr. Gibson was the first PM&R resident to be granted a sports medicine fellowship at Harvard-Boston Children's Hospital. She has served as a physician at many large sporting events including the U.S. Open Tennis Championships and the Boston Marathon. She has also served as a physician for the United States Tennis Association at their National Campus and for the Boston Ballet.

FUN FACT
Dr. Gibson enjoys thoroughbred horse racing and has worked for racetracks, magazines, and television. Recently, she has helped NBC Sports cover big horse racing events like the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Breeders' Cup. She also helped CNN/TNT cover Wimbledon in the past.
