Tanisha Verneus MD
AdvisorDr. Verneus graduated from Brown’s Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME), served as the director of student recruitment for a summer program, and was a member of the subcommittee for medical student selection. She also spearheaded the development of a scholarship for medical students interested in anesthesiology and aided in the selection of recipients.
Dr. Verneus grew up in New York and attended Brown University as a part of their Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME), an eight-year baccalaureate-medical degree program. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and is currently completing anesthesiology residency. Dr. Verneus first began tutoring younger students while in high school and continued throughout college. However, her passion for medical education blossomed in medical school when she volunteered with multiple student organizations that focused on teaching students about various aspects of healthcare. She also served as the director of student recruitment for a summer program and was a member of the subcommittee for medical student selection. As a first-generation and underrepresented physician, Dr. Verneus is motivated to use her experiences and knowledge to supporting those who come after her and looks forward to helping students reach their full potential.
