TutorVishal scored a 527 on the MCAT and has a diverse teaching background.
Vishal is a first-year student at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He graduated from Cornell University with a major in Chemistry and minors in Mathematics and Global Health. Outside of the classroom, he conducted research on the engineering of biomolecular therapeutics and was a member of a collegiate a cappella group. In the summer of 2019, Vishal also worked on a global health research project at WaterAid in Lusaka, Zambia regarding access to water, sanitation, and hygiene in rural healthcare facilities.
Having previously been a Kumon math instructor, peer tutor, speech and debate coach, and physics teaching assistant, Vishal has a diverse background in teaching. He has learned how to work with students of all kinds and is comfortable in a wide range of subjects. He draws on these skills and his personal MCAT experience to deliver instruction that is enthusiastic, tailored, and effective. While he felt lost like most students when he began his MCAT prep, Vishal was able to achieve a high score by targeted studying and internalizing how the AAMC "thinks". He hopes to help his students do the same so that they can maximize their success on test day!
